EwaKosinskaDr. Ewa Filipowicz-Kosińska graduated of the Academy of Music in Sofia, where she studied in the vocal class of  Professor Lilija Stefanov. She made her debut at the Sofia Opera in the role of the Third Lady in "The Magic Flute" by W.A. Mozart, and in a fragment of "Carmen" by G. Bizet. There are many roles in her artistic achievements: Carmen in “Carmen” by G. Bizet, Rosina in "The Barber of Seville" by G. Rossini, Jadwiga in "Straszny Dwór” by S. Moniuszko, Fenena in "Nabucco" by G.Verdi, Olga in "Eugene Onegin" by P.Tchaikovsky, Niklas in "Tales of Hoffmann" by J. Offenbach, Cherubino in "The Marriage of Figaro" by W.A. Mozart, the roles of Hansel and Mother in "Hansel and Gretel" by E. Humperdinck, Czipra in "The Gypsy Baron" by J. Straus, Hudel in "Fiddler on the Roof" by J. Bock, Anita in "West Side Story" by L. Bernstein. In 1991-1992 she was a soloist of the Silesian Opera in Bytom and from 1992-2011 a soloist of the Opera at the Castle in Szczecin. She has worked with many theaters in Poland: Grand Theatre in Warsaw, Musical Theatre "ROMA" in Warsaw, Grand Theatre in Łódź, Grand Theatre in Poznan, Silesian Opera in Bytom and The Cracow Opera House. Besides opera roles she successfully performs parties of oratorios and cantatas, takes part in concerts of contemporary music and song recitals. In 1997 the artist was rewarded by the Ministry of Culture and Art for Best Merits and popularizing of the operatic art. In 2001 she received the audience award "Amber Ring" for the role of Rosina in "The Barber of Seville", Honorary Diploma from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for her outstanding professional achievements, as well as the Medal "Gloria Artis" given by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Kazimierz Ujazdowski. She represented the West Pomeranian Region at the World Exhibition "Expo -2000" in Hanover. In 2001 she participated in Vocal Master Class for interpretation of G.Verdi conducted by Fiorenza Cossotto. and in 2009 in the vocal workshop "Bel canto" by Ubaldo Fabbri. In 1996 Dr. Ewa Filipowicz-Kosińska recorded the CD "Symphony of four dreams " by J. Stalmierski and in 2000 CD "Ave Maria". The artist appeared abroad in over 200 performances. She sang on stages in:  Austria, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark and England. Since 2005 she worked as an assistant at the Academy of Music in Poznań (its branch in Szczecin)  and since 2010 she has been an assistant professor at the Art Academy in Szczecin.  She leads vocal class at the School of Music in Szczecin. In December 2008 she received her doctorate in musical arts in the discipline of vocal art at the University of Music of Frederic Chopin. For many years she has also worked for the  theater community and she is one of its members. Since 2005 she has been a president of ZASP by the Opera at the Castle in Szczecin.
